Another attempt by me to deal with the violence of a bullfight by creating an abstract image. While a bullfight is a beautiful combination of color and movement, it is extremely violent.

The deadly dance continues, with only one conclusion, eventually the bull dies. The crowd is into it, screaming "ole" when the matador lets the bull come dangerously close, There is just the two of them, matador and bull, in the huge arena, locked into each other, and soon it will end.

It is probably best to view a bullfight as a ballet, a dance between the man and beast, an abstraction. This way the horror does not shine through as brightly.

A window in Barcelona reflects one of its classically styled buildings. Barcelona is a mix of the old and the new, old and interesting buildings right next to new and sadly, not so interesting buildings. It still retains its Spanish charm, with many small alleys and restaurants.

This was a difficult shot to get, as a bright sun reflected off the bird's head, threatening to blow out the highlights of the picture. I must have taken a half dozen shots of this bird and only one of them was satisfactory. Also, the bird kept on turning its back to me like it didn't want to be photographed.

Everything is starting to bloom down here, a little early and a bit disorienting for a northerner. The colors are wonderful.
